Administration of Estates
Administration of Estates
Administration of estates involves the management and settlement of the estate of an intestate person (one who dies without a will), or a testator (one who dies with a will) where no executor is appointed. This process is carried out under the supervision of the court by a duly qualified and legally appointed person, and typically includes:
- Collection of the deceased’s assets
- Payment of debts, claims, and estate expenses
- Distribution of the remaining estate to the persons entitled to it
