MacCarthy and Associates is a law firm with offices at House No. 10 Anyetei Kwashie Street, Agbogba, Accra, Ghana. This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with this website.

This website is a static site. It does not set cookies, does not run analytics or advertising trackers, and does not operate a database or user accounts. We do not collect personal information automatically as you browse.

Our web host may record standard technical server logs, such as IP addresses and browser user-agent strings, for security and reliability purposes. These logs are held by the host under its own retention practices.

The enquiry form on our contact page does not transmit anything to this website. When you submit it, the details you typed are placed into a pre-filled message in your own email application, addressed to us. Nothing is sent until you choose to send that email, and nothing is stored on this site.

Please do not send confidential or privileged information by email until we have confirmed in writing that we are able to act for you. No solicitor–client relationship is created by contacting us.

When you email, call or write to us, we receive the information you choose to provide — typically your name, contact details and a description of your matter. We use it solely to respond to your enquiry, to assess whether we can act, and to provide legal services if you instruct us.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.

Information you provide to us in the course of a retainer is subject to our professional duties of confidentiality and legal professional privilege, and to the rules governing legal practitioners in Ghana. We retain client files for as long as required by those professional and statutory obligations.

Our contact page embeds a Google Maps frame so you can find our offices. Loading that frame involves a request to Google, which is subject to Google’s own privacy policy. We do not receive any personal information through it.

Links to our social media profiles take you to services operated by third parties, governed by their own policies.

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to retain it. Write to us using the contact details below and we will respond.

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the one currently in force.
