The founding
A bespoke firm is formed
Eddie MacCarthy, a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana, founds MacCarthy & Associates in Accra with a single organising idea: the client at the apex of the practice.

A courtroom practice takes shape
The firm builds proficiency across every level of the court system, from the lower courts to the Supreme Court, and before the National Labour Commission, CHRAJ and the Ghana Arbitration Centre.
Breadth
Specialist practices develop
Corporate, energy and natural resources, tax, intellectual property, trade and aerospace practices grow alongside the firm’s litigation core, supported by a company secretarial offering.

Doreen Delali Akpai joins as Managing Partner, bringing over a decade of practice and taking on client management, business development, firm administration and service delivery.
